Impact of Immersive Virtual Reality based Neuro Rehabilitation to manage Spinal Cord Injury patients- A systematic review
Spinal cord injury rehabilitation is challenging due to the complexity of motor and sensory impairments, requiring intensive and prolonged physical therapy and rehabilitation. Existing rehabilitation techniques frequently have problems including low neuroplasticity promotion, patient disengagement, and accessibility challenges. A novel approach that could boost motor rehabilitation, increase patient involvement, and enhance general quality of life is immersive virtual reality, or IVR. The data demonstrating its effectiveness, however, is still dispersed throughout several research using various approaches. This study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the impact of IVR-based neurorehabilitation on the treatment of SCI by thoroughly reviewing the body of existing literature and highlighting its benefits, limitations, and potential areas for further study.
