Field trip. Vigo Pilot and placer deposits at Vao Beach
Dissemination panels presenting the Ria de Vigo pilot from the S34I European project. The panels exhibit: 1) the front page;2) the location, geological, structural and metallogenic framework, and marine mineral potential from previous studies;3–5) the different activities in the shoreline, shallow water and aerial environment, including laboratory analysis;6) a graphical abstract of the four methods using Earth observation capabilities; (7) Heavy mineral surface occurrence with aeolian influence at Vao Beach and coastal dunes; (8) Heavy mineral occurrence (surface and subsoil), georadar survey and cartography using PNOA (https://pnoa.ign.es/) and UAV images at Fontaiña Beach; and (9) Two scientific publications using remote sensing and surface mineral placers focused on mineral exploration.
