MYTHOPOETIC STRUCTURES AND THE SYMBOLISM OF URBAN SPACE IN KAZAKH LITERATURE
In literary discourse, the city is conceived not only as a topographical space but also as a semiotic system that represents the cultural, historical and mental codes of a given era. In the Kazakh literary tradition, the urban chronotope is often linked to a crisis of identity and the loss of cultural continuity, standing in contrast to archaic models of nomadic culture. A comparative analysis with global literary traditions makes it possible to identify specific modes of representing urban reality, shaped by chronotopes, mythopoetic motifs and symbolic codes.
