Alberto Moravia e le influenze gramsciane nella lettura critica de «I promessi sposi»
The study analyses the relationship between the thought of Alberto Moravia and Antonio Gramsci, specifically focusing on their position regarding Alessandro Manzoni's I promessi sposi. The essay Alessandro Manzoni o l’ipotesi di un realismo cattolico (1960) incorporates a series of reflections by Gramsci that Moravia may have read in Letteratura e vita nazionale, the fifth volume of the first edition of the Quaderni del carcere published in 1950. This work thus allows for a more in-depth exploration of the critical tools employed by Moravia in the composition of the Introduction to I promessi sposi.
