Yuganaddhastava
There is absolutely no separation between Shiva and Shakti. The union of Shiva and Shakti is so complete that it is hard to identify as a union, for they are one and the same. Yet, they play the role of a couple and express love. The world splashes forth from this pure surge of love, and being in the world and being liberated from it are simply modes of aesthetic expression that Shiva and Shakti depict in their eternal dance. He is manifest in two forms but in reality, he has a single form. For the sake of experiencing the climax of rasa, he constitutes the difference in where there lies no difference. 2|| I bow to the Goddess who constantly recognizes herself as Shiva. Her very essence is to be inseparable from Śiva. The entire sentient and non-sentient world is the very pulsation of her heart. 3|| I bow to Śiva who has encapsulated the Goddess within. I bow to the Goddess who has circumscribed Śiva within herself. I bow to both Śiva and Śakti when the manifest as two. And I bow to Śiva and to Śakti when they manifest as one [whether as Śiva or as Śakti]. 4|| The world is merely an expansion of the surge of wonder being replete within. I bow to the mass of consciousness that is replete with love and is in the form of Śambhu or as Śāmbhavī. 5|| I bow to her who pulsates in the heart of Śiva. This pulsation in the heart is the manifest modes of being, and it is of the character of Śhiva or Bhava. This is Gaurī, the Goddess who is also Śiva, and so, beautiful and at the same time naked. 6|| I bow to Pārvatī and Śiva who are always united but are also playing by manifesting the world by means of loving union and manifesting liberation by means of separation. Thus ends the Hymns of Union Original YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUrwoJXWnxg This presentation is part of the Sarvāmnāya Oral Tradition Archive.
