FutureChoice as a Psychoeducational Innovation to Enhance Adolescents' Social Literacy on Childfree Preference

The phenomenon of choosing a childfree lifestyle has gained increasing attention, particularly among the younger generation. However, limited social literacy often leads to bias and stigma toward individuals making this reproductive choice. This study aims to analyze the neutral FutureChoice approach in supporting adolescents to engage with the childfree issue reflectively and consciously. Employing a descriptive qualitative method through literature review, social observation, and critical reflection, the author developed FutureChoice as a digital-based educational and consultative program integrating interactive learning and professional psychological services. Survey results indicate that most respondents had limited understanding of the childfree concept and viewed it as a taboo topic. Nevertheless, the presence of FutureChoice is seen as a valuable tool to foster inclusive discussion and supportive guidance. The program aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10 on reducing social inequalities and offers potential as a nationally replicable model to build a more open, equitable, and critically informed society in making life decisions.
