"DIGITAL EDUCATORS: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES OF TECHNOLOGY IN SECONDARY TEACHING"
Abstract: This article examines the challenges and potential of technology integration in secondary education through the lens of teacher experiences. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines literature review, case studies, and teacher surveys across Ibero-American contexts, we identify key barriers including: inadequate teacher training (only 34% feel prepared for advanced tech integration), infrastructure gaps (40% connectivity issues in rural areas), and institutional resistance (65% among teachers over 50). Despite these challenges, successful cases like Spain's EducaIA program demonstrate that sustained professional development can increase advanced technology adoption by 62%, while collaborative teacher networks.Prove more effective than top-down mandates. Our findings reveal a critical disconnect between cutting-edge technological possibilities and classroom realities, where teachers prioritize practical tools over complex innovations. The study concludes with actionable recommendations: context-sensitive teacher training programs, infrastructure equity policies, professional learning communities, and pedagogical frameworks for meaningful technology integration. These strategies aim to transform technology from an add-on to a true enabler of inclusive, relevant secondary education for 21st century learners. Keywords: digital pedagogy, teacher professional development, educational technology, secondary education, digital divide
