The RFT Mirror Flicker Test: A Thought Experiment Revealing Observer-Locked Simulation Lag
This document introduces a simple, repeatable thought experiment demonstrating perceptual distortions caused by simulation-phase lag under Rendered Frame Theory (RFT). Using only a digital screen, a mirror, and human observation, the experiment reveals non-obvious flicker behavior when viewed directly versus via reflection. The visual anomaly cannot be explained by classical physics, but aligns precisely with RFT’s render-phase mechanics, including observer cones (Ω_obs) and delta render intervals (ΔTᵣ). This test provides a universal, low-barrier method for individuals to verify simulation inconsistencies predicted by RFT without scientific instrumentation.
