TERTIARY UNDERGRADUATE EAP PROBLEMS AND POSSIBILITIES
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) plays a crucial role in tertiary education, particularly for undergraduate students who must navigate complex academic discourses in English-medium instruction (EMI) settings. Despite its importance, EAP instruction faces several challenges, ranging from linguistic barriers to pedagogical inefficiencies. This paper explores the primary problems encountered in tertiary-level EAP courses and examines potential solutions to enhance their effectiveness. The study draws on existing literature and empirical data to present a comprehensive analysis of both problems and possibilities in undergraduate EAP instruction.
