Overcoming Obstacles: Calcified Canal Management in Traumatized Maxillary Central Incisor
Pulp canal calcification is a frequent response to dental trauma, particularly affecting anterior teeth such as incisors. This report presents the endodontic treatment of a traumatized maxillary incisor with extensive canal calcification. The patient, who experienced trauma several years earlier, developed clinical symptoms indicative of pulp necrosis. Radiographic examination confirmed significant narrowing of the canal space accompanied by periapical changes. Using enhanced magnification and ultrasonic tools, the calcified canal was successfully located, negotiated, and treated through nonsurgical root canal therapy. Follow-up demonstrated the resolution of symptoms and progressive periapical healing. This case emphasizes the importance of advanced diagnostic techniques and modern endodontic strategies when managing calcified canals resulting from traumatic injuries
