Hydrodynamic numerical model data at Deception Island, Antartica
This dataset provides a numerical hydrodynamic model for Deception Island, Antarctica, for the period 1 January 2005 to 31 December 2020. It includes data on water levels, currents and wave climate. The data are available at a 3-hour temporal resolution at three specific observation points, while daily data are provided for the entire grid. here are numerical model results, obtained with Delft3D model. Data description The numerical hydrodynamic data are presented in Matlab format (.mat): 3 points: 'Hydrodynamics_PtX.mat' containing 3 items: 1. X-UTM coordinate 2. Y-UTM coordinate 3. Variables (Table): Time, Water Level, U-Velocity, V-Velocity, Significant Wave Height, Peak Period and Wave Direction All domain: 'data20XX.mat', containing items 12 items: 1. X-UTM coordinate for Water Level and Velocities 2. Y-UTM coordinate for Water Level and Velocities 3. Time for Water Level and Velocities 4. Water Level 5. U-Velocity 6. V-Velovity 7. X-UTM coordinate for Wave Climate 8. Y-UTM coordinate for Wave Climate 9. Significant Wave Height 10. Peak Period 11. Wave Direction 12. Time for Wave Climate
