Project Security Information Policies in E-commerce Industry

Project security information policy protects confidential information is a business requirement. Forthose projects that information security exists, risk assessments can be thought through and applied moresteadily. This research study evaluated the implementation of project security information policy in ecommerce industry in the Philippines as perceived by employees and managers in terms of informationsecurity policy; security organization; security functions; and security coordination. Moreover, thedescriptive approach of research using a survey questionnaire was utilized. On the status of project securityinformation policies, the respondents agree on information security, security organization, security function,and security coordination as practiced in e-commerce industry. In terms of the level of awareness on theextent of implementation of project security information policies, the managers perceived that they arehighly aware of information security, security organization, security function, and security coordination.Moreover, there is a significant difference in the perception of the respondents on the status of the projectsecurity information policies in e-commerce industry. Finally, there is a significant difference in theperception of the respondents on the level of awareness on the extent of implementation of project securityinformation policies in e-commerce industry in the Philippines as perceived by employees and manager.
