Потенціал фільму А. Ґарленда «Чоловічий рід» у практиці кінотерапії

Alex Garland’s 2022 film “Men” is of interest both from its psychological and even obviously “psychotherapeutic” storyline, and from the rich potential that this film has for use in the practice of film therapy. The storyline of the film can be considered as an artistic-figurative reproduction of psychotherapy. Through successive episodes of such psychotherapy, the main character passes, psychologically traumatized by the death of her husband, who had previously expressed suicidal intentions. It is necessary to separate the psychological interpretation of the behavior of characters, and the use of the film and its episodes as audiovisual material for the practice of film therapy. When it comes to film therapy, the main attention should be focused not on the plot as such but on the problem, the client's request, and the techniques that the psychotherapist plans to use in his work.
