Pengaruh Implementasi Protokol Kyoto Tentang Pengurangan Emisi Gas Rumah Kaca Ditinjau Dalam Kebijakan di Indonesia

Environmental issues related to climate change began to be highlighted since the 1980s, with conference meetings serving as the initial step to address impacts that potentially cause other environmental problems. Indonesia, as one of the largest greenhouse gas emitters, has ratified the Kyoto Protocol and integrated it into national law. The Kyoto Protocol requires Annex I countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, while developing countries like Indonesia participate voluntarily through CDM projects that support sustainable development. The research method in this article uses descriptive research and a qualitative approach. Indonesia continues to update its policies in reducing emissions, focusing on the forestry and land use sector as well as the energy sector by developing renewable energy. This dedication demonstrates Indonesia's commitment to addressing climate change and contributing to global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
