The genus name Perinetia Risbec, 1952 (type species: P. coffeae) is a junior homonym of Perinetia Collenette, 1936 (Lepidoptera). As the name Perinetia Risbec, 1952 has no known synonyms, the name Andasibia nom. nov. (urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: 19C65ABC-5F41-4D55-9C37-3AEB8C98D0FD) is here proposed as replacement name. The name Andasibia (gender: feminine) is derived from Andasibe, the local name of the village otherwise known as Périnet, in the Malagasy Republic. The single species becomes Andasibia coffeae (Risbec, 1952) comb. nov.
