MOFWaste Travelling exhibition - Final Results
The Museum of Food Waste (MOFWaste) is a citizen science project aimed to engage students in actively monitoring various forms of food waste across six school canteens in two municipalities in northern Portugal (Esposende and Viana do Castelo), alongside the co-creation of recommendations for interventions to address this issue. Students (aged 10 to 15 years old) led the process of data collection, analysis and co-creating recommendations. Teachers and canteen staff were also involved in various phases of the project’s implementation, ranging from logistics to data collection, while municipalities and other relevant stakeholders participated in the co-organisation of events and the broader dissemination of the project.
