NEONATAL PNEUMONIA: CLINICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC MARKERS
In order to study the clinical and laboratory features of neonatal pneumonia and to develop markers for the diagnosis and prognosis of pneumonia, 78 newborns with fetal pneumonia and 30 children with postnatal pneumonia were examined. There were 37 healthy newborns in the control group and 42 newborns with ARI in the comparison group. Clinical and laboratory data in the first 72 hours after birth served as the basis for diagnosis. In the diagnosis of neonatal pneumonia in newborns, both CRP and PCT have diagnostic value. The analysis showed that the simultaneous use of SRB and PCT markers has maximum specificity, which makes their combination an effective tool for more accurate verification of out-of-hospital pneumonia.
