Prologue to Revolution: The Greek Enlightenment and the Rise of National Consciousness (1750–1821)
This article explores the intellectual roots of the Greek national awakening through a comprehensive study of the Greek Enlightenment. It analyzes the contributions of Rigas Feraios and Adamantios Korais, the influence of Western Enlightenment principles, the role of diaspora printing networks, and the Greek language debate. The study argues that these elements collectively shaped the emergence of modern Greek identity and laid the ideological foundations for the Revolution of 1821
