ψ⁸ and the Cosmic Background: A Retentive Hypothesis of Primordial Difference
This article introduces a novel theoretical perspective on the cosmic microwave background (CMB) through the lens of the ψ⁸ framework. Instead of interpreting the CMB as a thermal relic of the Big Bang, ψ⁸ proposes that it constitutes a topological structure of retained difference (Δψ), held across pseudo-time (τ) by structural retention nodes (Ξ). The study formulates a modified Lagrangian, outlines observational implications—such as coherence in low-multipole modes and hemispherical anisotropies—and suggests a reinterpretation of dark energy as a retentive density (Λ). This retentive cosmology positions the CMB not as a fading glow, but as the most ancient field of persistence: a structure that holds, before matter, time, or temperature. ψ⁸ does not contradict ΛCDM but extends it with a structural ontology of holding.
