Technological innovations have brought tremendous changes in the whole education process and have led to a paradigm shift from teacher based education to a learner based online education system. Internet is acting as a catalyst for changes in the Library and Information Science (LIS) education and has taken education beyond the classroom and lecture hall into a new digital era of networked and collaborative learning.
