Craspedolepta araneosa Loginova, 1962 Feeds on In Bulgaria, we collected adults on Artemisia pedemontana Balb., which represents a new probable host plant for the species. In Russia and Central Asia, C. araneosa was collected on Artemisia austriaca Jacq., A. lercheana Weber ex Stechm., A. nitrosa Weber ex Stechm., A. schrenkiana Ledeb. and A. sublessingiana (B. Keler) Krasch. ex Poljakov (Loginova 1962). Distribution General distribution. Russia (south-east of the European part: Orenburg Region), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan) (Loginova 1962, Gegechkori and Loginova 1990). Distribution in Bulgaria (Fig. 14 b). The Bulgarian specimens agree well with the original description (Loginova 1962) as regards the presence of long setae on the body (especially on the dorsal surface of the head and thorax), the pattern of the forewings and the details of the male paramere and the female terminalia. They differ in the denser and larger surface spinules on the forewing membrane, which are more similar to the condition in C. artemisiae than the illustration in the original description. More material is needed to assess the taxonomic significance of this character.
