AbstractIn this article we discuss about Oral thin films (OTF) an new carrier for drug delivery are now gaining moreattention due to its luring features, these thin films dissolve fast, are convenient and can potentially improvebioavailability of certain drugs by avoiding the first pass metabolism that essentially reduces the amount of drugwhich enter the systemic circulation, by directly supplying drug to systemic circulation, the dose at which drug are given can also be reduced according to their absorption. Diclofenac sodium a NSAID Non-steroidal and Anti-inflammatory active ingredient can be a potential candidate for oral thin films.
