IN-LINE QUALITY CONTROL SYSTEM FOR THE STATE-OF-THE-ART ROLL-TO-ROLL MASS-MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR VERSATILE MICROFLUIDIC SYSTEMS
Replication of microfluidic structures has been realized through NextGenMicrofluidics project (GA no. 862092), focusing on life science-relevant thermoplastic polymers including polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), and cyclic olefin copolymers (COC). Recent facility upgrades enable film production of up to 300µm in thickness, positioning our platform as a competitive alternative to industry-standard injection molding processes. The newest developments in the R2R-EC processing have led to the development of a highly advanced quality control (QC) system involving both the analysis of the X-Y imprinting quality, as well as Z – imprint depth control.
