NODES_INNDIANA_D2.5 (EX N.7) - Effects of WD and high fat diet in gut
C57BL/6 mice were fed for 16 weeks with a normal diet, a high-fat diet (HFD), or a high-fat diet combined with fructose, in order to investigate whether fructose exacerbates body weight gain, gut microbiota dysbiosis, and fat accumulation. The obtained data demonstrated that fructose, when combined with a high-fat diet, did not significantly worsen fat accumulation or inflammation, showing effects comparable to those observed with HFD alone.
