Advanced Aerodynamic Design of Multirotor Drones: Insights from CFD Simulations and Material Optimization for Enhanced Performance
This study delves into the aerodynamic optimization and stability enhancement of multirotor drones, focusing on propeller design and computational simulations to improve their overall performance. Multirotor drones, especially quadcopters, are increasingly dominant in industries such as surveillance, imaging, and cargo transport due to their versatility and ease of operation. However, achieving optimal performance in terms of efficiency, stability, and energy consumption remains a key challenge. The research investigates how adjusting parameters such as the angle of attack and propeller design can significantly impact the lift and thrust efficiency. Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations, the study also explores the effects of vortex flow and the ground effect, which influence the aerodynamic behavior and energy consumption of drones. The findings demonstrate that optimizing the distance and angle of attack between propellers can reduce vortex interference and enhance drone stability. Furthermore, the study reveals how adjusting the propeller design can lead to better performance, especially in conditions such as wind or low-altitude flight. The insights gained from this research offer valuable contributions to the design of high-performance drones, enabling reduced energy consumption while maintaining superior maneuverability and stability under diverse operating conditions.
