Diamond Doom Hypothesis: Extended Model with Doom Plane and Energy Accumulation Analysis
Author: Mohendra Dey Description:This research paper presents an extended and refined version of the "Diamond Doom Hypothesis" (Dey, 2025), introducing a novel theoretical framework exploring the interaction of light with ideal and real diamond lattices. The study proposes that in an ideal diamond with perfect lattice structure (surface perfection, n=100%), light can become permanently trapped due to total internal reflection, forming a Permanent Photon Trap. This trapped light induces micro-oscillations, electronic stress, and Quantum Fatigue, potentially initiating a destructive process termed Doom. The hypothesis further introduces Electron Echo, a quantum-level resonance-like reaction where photons repeatedly excite lattice electrons, causing energy depletion in ideal diamonds. In contrast, real diamonds (n<100%) with inherent imperfections allow photons to escape, preventing Doom and Electron Echo. The paper provides a rigorous mathematical foundation, including equations for Quantum Fatigue Accumulation, Photon Confinement Resonance, Doom Growth Rate, and Doom Collapse Threshold. It contrasts ideal and real diamonds, offering new perspectives on quantum confinement, photon-electron interactions, and material stability. The work challenges conventional solid-state physics by suggesting that a perfect lattice could harbor self-destructive processes under specific conditions. Potential applications include quantum batteries, photonic storage, and advanced materials science. This self-funded, independent research emphasizes originality and scientific imagination, with implications for quantum physics, materials science, and theoretical studies. The document includes comparisons with existing theories, such as photonic crystals and quantum confinement, and is supported by references to fundamental physics texts and research articles. Explanation: The Origin of the Terms Used in this Theory This theory and the terms I have introduced within it are entirely the product of my own thinking, based on personal experiences and reflections. No part of this work has been written or assisted by any AI tools. I can confidently explain almost every component of the theory myself. What follows is a personal and narrative explanation of how I came up with these unique terms: 1.Doom: The word "Doom" is rooted in my childhood. When I used to play with my village friends, we would sometimes break light bulbs for fun. Whenever a bulb shattered with a popping sound, they would say, "It made a doom!" That sound stuck with me, and to us, doom came to symbolize a dramatic, destructive break. Later, while conceptualizing the internal fracture within a diamond, I naturally associated that destructive process with the word "Doom." It’s not just a scientific metaphor, but a personal one too. 2. Echo Initially, I thought of using the word "Cycle" to describe how electrons revolve and return to their positions. But then I realized: in an ideal cycle, energy would remain the same throughout, which is not the case here. The electron loses or gains a bit of energy in the process. That made me think of "Echo." An echo is similar to the original sound but slightly weaker — just like the returning electron’s changed energy state. Also, on a personal note, the letters "I" and "E" are very close to my heart because the names of certain important people in my life begin with those letters. So, "Echo" not only fit scientifically, but emotionally as well. 3. Photonic Trap This is a term I coined by combining "Photon" and "Trap." As I imagined light particles (photons) getting trapped inside a structure like a diamond, the image of a trap came naturally to mind. Since photons were being confined and unable to escape, I felt the phrase "Photonic Trap" best captured that physical reality. It was a spontaneous formulation based on the phenomenon I was trying to describe. 4. Quantum Fatigue This one is a bit abstract. I wasn’t fully sure if this is an existing or widely accepted scientific term. But when I imagined photons and electrons repeatedly colliding with the lattice structure, I pictured a slow accumulation of stress — almost like fatigue at the quantum level. That inspired me to coin the term "Quantum Fatigue." It came from intuition, imagination, and an attempt to represent something that may not yet be fully explored in current science. Many new scientific term are produced from my experience like the above example..... Conclusion This entire theory is a creation of my own understanding, imagination, and analysis. I did not use any AI tools in the development or writing of this work. All explanations, terms, and structures have originated from my independent thinking. I am capable of explaining the logic and inspiration behind almost every part of the paper. What may seem like complex terminology or structure has simply been the result of deep thought and personal reflection — nothing more.
