A Scrum-Based Framework for Enhancing Efficiency in Construction Project Management

Background: The construction industry often faces challenges in meeting deadlines, controlling costs, and ensuring quality. Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, have shown potential for enhancing efficiency in software development and are now being explored in construction project management. Methods: This research applies a Scrum-based framework to a large-scale construction project, named 'Central Tower Complex Development'. Data were collected using mixed methods, including structured interviews, surveys, and project documentation review. Key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost variance, schedule adherence, quality metrics, and team satisfaction were measured pre- and post-implementation.Results: The implementation of Scrum resulted in a 15% improvement in schedule adherence, a 12% reduction in cost variance, a 10% increase in quality scores, and a 20% improvement in stakeholder satisfaction. Conclusions: The study demonstrates that Scrum can significantly improve efficiency and adaptability in construction projects, providing a replicable model for similar contexts.
