Joint Review Guidelines Development and Approval

These documents detail guidelines for the joint scientific and ethical review of research in Uganda. Developed by the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST), in collaboration with other national regulatory agencies, the guidelines aim to streamline the research approval process. They outline the roles of various stakeholders, including Institutional Ethics Committees and researchers, and establish criteria for joint review. The guidelines also address administrative procedures, fee structures, and monitoring/inspection processes. Funding for this project was provided by the European Union’s Horizon Europe program.
