Structured Time Model for Quantum Chemistry: A 5D Time-Field Perspective (Work in Progress)

This pre-print introduces a novel hypothesis by Nathaniel MacDonald suggesting that an additional time-like dimension—derived from a 5D time-field—may provide subtle corrections to hydrogenic energy levels in quantum chemistry. The manuscript examines how such a structured temporal framework could outperform or match Dirac-QED calculations when compared against NIST spectroscopic data. While initial results are promising, this work remains \emph{in progress} and open to further derivations, rigorous statistical testing, multi-electron validation, and deeper exploration of potential causality constraints.* edit After some re-checking, I realized there were errors in the residual calculations comparing STM to Dirac-QED in this paper. The math and derivations behind the Structured Time Model are still sound, but the numerical claims need correcting. I’m currently working on updating the analysis with accurate values and a refined parameter fit. Abstract
