THE FAMILY AS THE FOUNDATION OF A CULTURED SOCIETY: A MULTI-INSTITUTIONAL APPROACH TO ETHICAL NATION BUILDING AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
This paper examines the critical role of the family in cultivating ethically responsible citizens and how this foundation intersects with institutional influences education, religion, governance, and media to drive national development and sustainability. It argues that sustainable progress is unattainable without a value-driven populace, regardless of infrastructural or economic advancements. Drawing from social development theories and contemporary challenges, the study advocates for a model of nation-building rooted in ethical reorientation that begins at home and is reinforced by synergistic institutional support. Policy recommendations are offered to embed moral values across generations and sectors for long-term societal transformation.
