The Ephemeral Resonance of Quantum Cultural Artifacts: Rethinking Memory, Meaning, and Time in a Rapidly Changing World

Abstract In a hyper-connected, accelerated world, cultural artifacts increasingly exhibit a transient, layered quality, with meanings oscillating in ways akin to quantum systems. This paper develops the concept of quantum cultural artifacts, demonstrating how objects, ideas, and symbols do not possess fixed significance but exist in states of interpretive flux. By aligning concepts from quantum physics, semiotics, anthropology, and design, we explore how cultural entropy, observer effects, and nonlinear temporalities reshape memory and meaning. Rather than treating culture as a static archive, this research proposes a quantum historiography that embraces interpretive uncertainty, contextual multiplicity, and layered temporal resonances, offering a framework for studying artifacts in an era of cultural overload and rapid shifts. © 2025. Abstract
