The Influence Of School Environment On Academic Achievement: A Review-Based Analytical Study
Abstract This study explores the impact of the school environment on students' academic achievement, synthesizing insights from a broad range of empirical research conducted over several decades. It identifies critical factors influencing academic success, including teacher support, intellectual stimulation, family structure, parental involvement through schools, teacher quality, peer relationships, the quality of physical infrastructure, school policies, academic expectations, and socio-economic stability. The review emphasizes that a well-structured and supportive school environment is fundamental to students’ psychological development and educational performance. Conversely, it highlights that deprivation and unstable school conditions have a detrimental effect on academic outcomes. Despite the richness of existing literature, notable gaps remain, particularly in culturally contextualized studies and comparative analyses integrating both school and home environments. The study concludes with recommendations for future research, advocating for longitudinal and region-specific investigations, and suggests policy measures aimed at strengthening parental engagement in education
