Exploring the Future of Work: Impact of Automation and Artificial Intelligence

The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation has brought about a significant transformation in the workforce. However, it also poses a potential threat to human employment. This research aims to analyze the impact of AI and automation on job opportunities for humans. A descriptive qualitative approach will be used in this study, drawing data from various research findings and previous studies that explore the role of AI and automation in the workplace. The findings indicate that AI and automation are increasingly replacing numerous jobs. Nonetheless, certain aspects of human intelligence, such as intuition and empathy, remain challenging for AI to replicate. Although AI and automation can be seen as a threat to employment, individuals who enhance their skills and adapt to technological advancements will not be replaced but will instead collaborate with machines. This integration of human and machine labor ensures that AI and automation serve as tools to assist human workers rather than entirely replacing them.
