Planning and Execution of Internal Audit at Morobe Provincial Administration
Abstract: The audit process is a complex and risky aspect of government operations that require a solid understanding of financial and operational principles. Many dedicated teams within the government strive to complete audit tasks and reports with precision, ensuring accountability and alignment with broader objectives. Evaluating public finances and spending decisions is crucial for effective governance and future stability in the Morobe Provincial Government and the broader Papua New Guinea Government. Through thorough audits, the government adheres to the Public Finance Management Act of 1995, ensuring responsible resource management. Moreover, audits help guarantee that essential services are delivered efficiently to Morobe residents. This involves assessing fund allocation, the integrity of financial reporting, and the performance of community programs. A strong audit framework fosters transparency, enhances public trust, and ensures that government operations serve the people's best interests.
