E-TABULATION SYSTEM FOR EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES WITH LCD SCREEN INTEGRATION
In the digital age, the demand for more efficient, accurate, and real-time data presentation during events has spurred the development of innovative technological solutions. This study presents the development and implementation of an E-Tabulation System for Events and Activities with LCD Screen Integration at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines – Panaon. Designed to replace traditional manual tabulation methods, the system offers a more accurate, real-time, and user-friendly solution for scoring and result presentation during school events and class-based activities. The study utilized a developmental research approach, adopting the Agile Software Development Life Cycle. Evaluations were conducted during actual events, including pageants, sports competitions, and academic activities such as oral defenses. Data were gathered through surveys and interviews with judges and faculty. The system was assessed across six key areas: functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. Judges rated the system with a weighted mean of 4.6 for functionality, 4.6 for reliability, 5.0 for usability, and 5.0 for efficiency. Faculty gave ratings of 4.6 for functionality, 4.9 for reliability, 4.9 for usability, and 4.5 for efficiency. Administrators rated the system with a weighted mean of 4.9 for functionality, 4.8 for reliability, 4.9 for usability, and 4.7 for efficiency. Results show that the system improved score entry, minimized human error, and provided real-time updates via LCD displays. Recommendations include further development for mobile access and broader use across industries requiring real-time tabulation, extending its potential applications.
