Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Financial Dynamics in Latin America's Agricultural Sector
Abstract: The study investigates the disruptive role of artificial intelligence (AI) in transforming financial dynamics within the agricultural industry in Latin America, with a particular emphasis on Brazil. The increasing demographic growth and growing competition for land have intensified the need for technological innovation to enhance productivity and sustainability. The introduction of AI-powered applications-such as machine learning, deep learning, and IoT-based analytics-is accelerating the digitalization of agriculture, enabling data-driven decision-making and resource optimization along the production chain. The research investigates the effect of AI adoption on financial intelligence, access to credit, cost control methods, and profitability of farming enterprises. It also addresses the evolving landscape of agricultural finance, such as the dynamics of formal and informal credit sources and the role of smart financial technologies. The report highlights that AI not only improves operational efficiency and risk management but also presents new challenges in regard to infrastructure, capability, and policy adaptation. The study concludes with recommendations to stakeholders to facilitate knowledge transfer, trigger technology diffusion, and boost sustainable economic growth in the agricultural economy of the region.
