FAIRly Specialist - Generic vs Disciplinary implications for FAIR-enabling Repositories

This informal working paper has been prepared to support the authors’ presentation at the 2025 IASSIST Conference. A public feedback version is also available. It considers the FAIR Principles, associated automated tests of digital objects, and the role of repositories as influenced by their disciplinary or other specialist status. Wider issues around testing and the authority models for defining criteria applied to repositories and objects are examined. All comments, questions and criticisms are welcome.
