Zodarion segurense Bosmans 1994

Zodarion segurense Bosmans, 1994 Figs 32, 34P–R, 38I, 39I, 41H Zodarion segurense Bosmans 1994: 122, figs 13–15, 89–90 (♂ ♀). Material examined. SPAIN: 1♂, 1♀, Cazorla, Jaén, V.1979, J. Murphy & F. Murphy leg., MMUM-18764, G7572.12841; 1♀, labeled as “Sierra, Cazorla, Segura, 1800 m a.s.l., 23.V.1968, J. Murphy & F. Murphy leg., MMUM, G7512.1 ”. Diagnosis: Zodarion segurense can be easily separated from other members of the styliferum group by the tibial apophysis, with a distinctively widly truncated tip visible in the ventral view (Fig. 34Q), and a flat arch-shaped median apophysis (Fig. 34Q). Females of Z. segurense can be easily distinguished from the closely related Z. gregua by the epigyne, which is approximately 1.3 times wider (Figs 38I, 41H vs. Figs 38E, 41E). Description: For a detailed description of the habitus and male palp, see Bosmans (1994). Epigyne (Fig. 41H): Epigynal plate mushroom-shaped, anteriorly limited by a pair of touching margins, posteriorly gradually widened. Sides of the epigynal plate distinctly S-shaped. Epigyne with a short antero-median septum, accompanied by a pair of copulatory openings on antero-lateral sides of the septum; these copulatory openings linked to a pair of lateral pits by connecting grooves. Distribution: Spain.
