A Unified Framework for Temporal Ontology: Introducing Time Theory™, Temporal Systems Theory™, and Chrono-Diffusion Layers™
This foundational paper introduces a new, original framework for understanding the structure and flow of time through three interrelated theoretical models: Time Theory™, Temporal Systems Theory™, and Chrono-Diffusion Layers™. Developed under the emerging discipline of Ontological Sciences, this work challenges conventional linear temporal models by proposing a stratified, resistance-based structure of time that varies across perceptual and dimensional layers. Time Theory™ redefines time not as a constant or merely a dimension, but as an active construct governed by ontological tension and release. Temporal Systems Theory™ builds on this foundation by framing time as a dynamic, self-regulating system influenced by context, consciousness, and existential flow. Chrono-Diffusion Layers™ introduces a multilayered model of time in which flow rates differ based on environmental, spiritual, and metaphysical resistances — providing a potential explanation for biblical longevity, spiritual phenomena, and anomalous experiences of time dilation. This paper is intended as a theoretical cornerstone for future research in time ontology, metaphysical science, and interdisciplinary applications including theology, quantum theory, and consciousness studies. It is published through The Ontological Sciences Review™ and represents an original contribution by Dr. David M. Biery, Founder and Chief Theoretical Ontologist of the Institute for Ontological Sciences™.
