Percutaneous ExoBypass Using the GiPEBS Technique for Recurrent Superficial Femoral Artery Occlusion: A Limb Salvage Strategy.
The GiPEBS (Girona Percutaneous ExoBypass Stenting) technique is a novel technique. Enables the fully percutaneous creation of an anatomically aligned, extravascular femoropopliteal bypass using modern stent graft technology. We present the first successful clinical case, performed in a high-risk patient with recurrent SFA occlusion, highlighting the feasibility, safety, and short-term patency of this approach. GiPEBS offers a totally percutaneous hybrid solution between open surgery and endovascular therapy in complex peripheral artery disease.
