Sistem Geran Adil (SGA): A Centralized Grant Recipient Database for Malaysia
The proliferation of grant programs across various Malaysian government agencies has led to fragmented data management, hindering effective oversight and potentially perpetuating inequitable distribution. This paper proposes Sistem Geran Adil (SGA), a centralized database system to consolidate grant recipient information from all participating agencies. SGA aims to streamline existing disparate databases, provide a comprehensive view of grant allocation, and, crucially, implement a mechanism to prevent recurring grant awards to the same recipients, ensuring wider access to funding opportunities for eligible applicants. This system leverages modern data management techniques and secure access protocols to promote transparency and fairness in grant distribution across Malaysia. By integrating data analytics and machine learning, SGA enhances the decision-making process for grant approvals, ensuring equitable distribution among applicants. The system promotes inclusivity by allowing a broader range of beneficiaries to access government financial support, thereby fostering socio-economic growth and reducing financial dependency among selected groups.
