Longiostiolum Doilom, Ariyaw. & K. D. Hyde
Longiostiolum Doilom, Ariyaw. & K. D. Hyde, Fungal Diversity 78: 55 (2016). Notes. Longiostiolum was introduced by Li et al. (2016) in Pleosporales suborder Massarineae M. E. Barr, incertae sedis, with L. tectonae Doilom, D. J. Bhat & K. D. Hyde, as the type species. Later, Phukhamsakda et al. (2020) introduced the new family Longiostiolaceae to accommodate this distinct lineage, based on morphology and phylogenetic analysis. Longiostiolum is a monotypic genus with anamorphs and teleomorphs (Li et al. 2016). In this study, L. coffeae is introduced with a teleomorph from an Arabica coffee plant in Yunnan, China. This is the first report of Longiostiolum from a coffee host.
