The Complete Free Energy Principle: A Mathematical Foundation for Epistemology 10.5281/zenodo.15067101
This paper shows how to derive the Complete Free Energy Principle (CFEP) from the philosophical assumption “I can know the truth.” This requires self-derivability, which in turn implies self-reflectivity, modality, and generativity. The resulting framework consists of three multiway KL divergence terms—prediction error, complexity, and degeneracy minimization—yielding a self-regulating, convergent model-selection process that guarantees uniqueness of truth.
