The Unnatural Logarithm

This study unexpectedly connects the natural logarithm (e) with chaos theory, hinting at the unified aspects which explain or signal bifurcation phenomena. This was achieved both analytically and computationally via recursive fractional exponentiation and other techniques elaborated in the paper. Novel applications of iterated functions are described and connections are made between previously uncorrelated branches of mathematics.

Abstract

This study unexpectedly connects the natural logarithm (e) with chaos theory, hinting at the unified aspects which explain or signal bifurcation phenomena. This was achieved both analytically and computationally via recursive fractional exponentiation and other techniques elaborated in the paper. Novel applications of iterated functions are described and connections are made between previously uncorrelated branches of mathematics.
