A Study of Effectiveness of Employee Engagement on Organisational Performance in Unique Punch System, Nelamangala.
Abstract Employee engagement is a critical factor influencing organizational performance, attracting attention from researchers and practitioners. It encompasses affective, cognitive, and behavioural dimensions, shaping employee’s commitment and productivity. Theories like social exchange and self-determination explain its antecedents, including leadership style, organizational culture, job characteristics, and well-being. Human resource practices such as recruitment, training, and performance management play a vital role in fostering engagement. Engaged employees contribute to higher productivity, job satisfaction, retention, innovation, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. The Impact is evident at individual, team and organizational levels, with factors like industry context and organizational size moderating this relationship. Despite extensive research, gaps remain, such as the need for longitudinal studies and exploration of mediating mechanisms. Organizations must prioritize engagement through strategic HR practices to enhance overall performance and long- term success.
