Hydrocephalus: Congenital Anomalies in New Born Crossbred Calf
A crossbred calf that had just born complained of an unusually huge, circular growth on its head that resembled a pot. Clinical symptoms include weakness, head tremors, convulsions, impaired sucking reflex, and an irregular dome-shaped growth on the skull. The calf's nervous system was responsive and awake. Physical examination reveals a fluid-filled hollow beneath the skin. The crossbred calf's external congenital hydrocephalus was confirmed by the case history, clinical examination, and physical examination. After undergoing surgery to cure hydrocephalus, the treated calf has recovered and reported to have sucking normally.
