CLİMATİC CONDİTİONS OF THE MOUNTAİNOUS PART OF TALYSH

One of the factors that determines the diversity of flora and vegetation in the mountainous part of Talysh, as well as changes in the productivity and quality of forage, is that it has different physical and geographical conditions, primarily its geographical location. From this point of view, changes in geographical location are closely related to the long-term geological history of the region's development, the impact of climatic, anthropogenic and other factors manifested by endogenous and exogenous processes over millions of years. The main condition is the absence of modern glaciers in the Talysh mountain system and the fact that its flora was not subject to glaciation in the past.In Talysh, there are subtropical forests formed in humid climate conditions typical of the end of the Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic era and the third period of the Cenozoic. Thus, since that time, broad-leaved relict forests of Talysh have spread, and mountain xerophytes in the highlands grow with optimal soil moisture, and dry weather prevails during their growing season. Later, physical and geographical conditions, especially climatic conditions, created the basis for the development of biodiversity of the Talysh Mountains flora. In particular, the Hyrcanian forests that had formed since then gradually disappeared under the influence of climate and spontaneous human activity that formed in the Lankaran district.
