TRANSFORMING INVESTMENT POTENTIAL – ENHANCING THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK FOR FDI IN UZBEKISTAN

This article examines ways to improve the legal regulation of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Uzbekistan, highlighting areas where the existing framework could be strengthened to increase investor confidence and streamline FDI processes. It explores the current state of FDI regulation in Uzbekistan, reviews key challenges, and draws lessons from successful models in other countries, such as Singapore, UAE, China, and Kazakhstan. By identifying specific reforms in legal protections, regulatory efficiency, institutional support, and sectoral policies, the article provides a roadmap for creating a more competitive and investor-friendly environment in Uzbekistan.
