Completing Arithmetic With Non-Commutative Operational Symmetry
This work extends the foundational ideas presented in the registered book Universal Concept of Finite Repetance (UCFR), available on Zenodo (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.15453948), by introducing a refined symbolic framework that completes the arithmetic operation set. While classical notation includes Sigma (Σ) for addition and Pi (Π) for multiplication, these operations are commutative and do not account for the ordered nature of subtraction and division. To address this asymmetry, two new symbols are introduced: Gamma (𝚪) for sequential subtraction, and Iota (𝚰) for sequential division. These operations are non-commutative, meaning order matters, and they represent directional processes in arithmetic. Their formal inclusion restores symbolic balance to the fundamental operations and makes explicit the structure and flow hidden in traditional notation. This extension allows for the discovery of new combinatorial invariants, such as those emerging from the Iota-fraction sequences, and supports a visual, tree-based interpretation of arithmetic rooted in the UCFR framework. Rather than being symbolic decoration, Gamma and Iota aim to capture essential aspects of arithmetic structure that are underrepresented in conventional notation.
