There exist around 200 nations on earth. Individual countries have their own arrangements for fulfilling the three basic goals of a health system: keeping people healthy, treating the sick, and protecting families from financial disaster brought on by medical bills. This is because of the already existing 200 systems. However, we are not obligated to study 200 different systems in order to have a picture of how other countries manage health care.
